A convicted sex offender was sentenced to four life sentences for the rape of a 14-year-old girl, court records show.

Matthew Mallory, 36, of Okarche, entered an Alford plea on Tuesday to two counts of first-degree rape and two counts of sexual child abuse. District Judge Paul Woodward found Mallory guilty and sentenced him to life.

All four life sentences are to run consecutively, records show.

An Alford plea admits there is enough evidence to convict should the case go to trial.

Mallory had sexually assaulted the girl, beginning when she was 9 years old, and had sexually assaulted three other girls, according to Chris Bozeman, U.S. Marshals Service spokesman.

Mallory was captured in April 2011 after a two-day manhunt in Texas.
