Oklahoma counseling group helps families cope with strife
Eight years ago, Diana Acker signed up her children for Calm Waters' divorce support group and had no intention of attending the sessions herself.

Calm Waters
What: Eight-week support group sessions for parents and children experiencing divorce.
When: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 13 to March 3 or March 24 to May 12, and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 15 to March 5 and March 26 to May 14.
What: Eight-week support group sessions for families coping with the loss of a loved one.
When: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 12 to March 9 and March 30 to May 18.
Where: 4334 Northwest Expressway, Suite 101.
Cost: Free.
