Oklahoma County ballot set for primary election

Here’s the lineup of candidates for Oklahoma County posts in the June 24 primary election.

County Commissioner District 1

Democrat

(i) Willa Johnson, 75, Oklahoma City. Johnson was elected county commissioner in 2007 and re-elected in 2010.

Ronald Henry, 63, Luther.

Republican

Daren Ward, 39, Oklahoma City.

Earl Davis, 62, Choctaw.

County Commissioner District 3

Republican

(i) Ray Vaughn, 65, Edmond. Vaughn was elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2010.

Democrat

Thomas Parkhurst Jr., 49, Edmond.

County Assessor

Republican

(i) Leonard Sullivan, 79, Oklahoma City. Sullivan was elected assessor in 2004 and re-elected in 2006 and 2010.

County Treasurer

Republican

(i) Butch Freeman, 70, Choctaw. Freeman was elected treasurer in 1993 in a special election and has been re-elected five times.

Democrat

Stephen Covert, 65, Midwest City.

District Attorney

Democrat

(i) David Prater, 54, Edmond. Prater was elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2010.
