Three men were arrested on drug complaints after a short pursuit early Thursday in Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office reports.

About 12:15 a.m. a sheriff's deputy noticed a vehicle with a defective brake light and attempted to pull the driver over near the intersection of SE 59 and Shields Boulevard, according to a news release. The driver refused to stop and the deputy pursued the vehicle.

The deputy reported several baggies were thrown out of the car during the pursuit. Oklahoma City police officers assisted with the short pursuit, which ended at SE 58 and Byers Avenue.

The deputy arrested the driver, Brandon Lakeith Gunn, 25, and passengers Martriel D. Jones, 27, and Devin Jamell Aughenbaugh, 20.

The baggies thrown from the vehicle had a crystal substance inside. The deputy also recovered a digital scale, green leafy substance thought to be marijuana and a white powdery substance from inside the vehicle, according to the news release.
