Three men were arrested on drug complaints after a short pursuit early Thursday in Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office reports.
About 12:15 a.m. a sheriff's deputy noticed a vehicle with a defective brake light and attempted to pull the driver over near the intersection of SE 59 and Shields Boulevard, according to a news release. The driver refused to stop and the deputy pursued the vehicle.
The deputy reported several baggies were thrown out of the car during the pursuit. Oklahoma City police officers assisted with the short pursuit, which ended at SE 58 and Byers Avenue.
The deputy arrested the driver, Brandon Lakeith Gunn, 25, and passengers Martriel D. Jones, 27, and Devin Jamell Aughenbaugh, 20.
The baggies thrown from the vehicle had a crystal substance inside. The deputy also recovered a digital scale, green leafy substance thought to be marijuana and a white powdery substance from inside the vehicle, according to the news release.
Gunn was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of possession of drugs with intent to distribute, drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude an officer, possession of drug proceeds, possession of marijuana. His bail was set at $21,500.
Jones was booked on complaints of possession of drugs with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. His bail was set at $10,500.
Aughenbaugh was booked on complaints of possession of drugs with intent to distribute, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of drug proceeds, bringing contraband into a penal institution and obstruction of justice. His bail was set at $31,500.
