The Oklahoma County sheriff’s department is searching for a man charged with manslaughter in connection with a 2012 crash that killed a man.

John Longan, 35, was the driver of a pickup that crashed into a concrete and brick sign of the 1100 block of N Stonewall Avenue in Oklahoma City in November 2012, according to court documents. Kyle Schumacher was a passenger in that vehicle and later died.

Longan told police he had been drinking before the crash, and police found a bottle of OxyContin pills in the car that weren’t prescribed to either man, according to court documents. Longan was charged in April 2013 with manslaughter, driving under the influence and possession of drugs.

Anyone with information on Longan’s location is asked to call 713-1968. has disabled the comments for this article.
