Oklahoma County sheriff's deputy involved in injury wreck on Interstate 35

Oklahoma County sheriff's spokesman Mark Myers said the deputy was attempting to pull over a reckless driver on Interstate 35 near Danforth when the vehicle made an unexpected lane change that caused the deputy to hit another car.

A reckless driver caused an Oklahoma County sheriff's deputy to wreck his cruiser with another vehicle, injuring the driver, authorities said.

Sheriff's spokesman Mark Myers said the deputy was attempting to pull over a reckless driver on Interstate 35 near Danforth when the vehicle made an unexpected lane change that caused the deputy to hit another car.

The bystander's car rolled, and its driver had to be freed by emergency personnel before being taken to a nearby hospital.

Myers said he did not know the condition of the driver. The deputy was not injured.

Names of the people involved were not released.
