An arrest has been made in the beating death of a man during an August home invasion, Oklahoma City police said Friday. Tony Overton, 46, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service about 6:30 p.m. Thursday on complaints of first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and first-degree burglary. He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail. Ricky Wallice, 55, was fatally beaten Aug. 29, when two men broke into his home at 1809 SW 19. Police are looking for a second man, described as black, about 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 145 pounds. He wore a do-rag on his head, a dark bandanna, blue T-shirt and black jeans. Two men were seen bicycling north on Westwood Avenue from SW 19 after the beating, police reported. Anyone with information is asked to call the Oklahoma City homicide tip line at 297-1200.

Mom is jailed on multiple complaints
Police said they arrested a mother they found hiding in a closet with her 4-year-old son. Flisha Ladonna Mehan, 20, was arrested on a complaint of providing false information and on four county felony warrants and five city arrest warrants, according to a police report. Police were called about 6 p.m. Wednesday to a house in the 2400 block of SW 21 by a neighbor who told police he thought a child had been abandoned. Mehan's boyfriend let an officer in and told the officer Mehan and their son were in the bedroom, the report states. The child told the officer he was locked out of the house and was sleeping on the front porch, according to the report. Mehan gave the officer a false name, but he later learned her real name and discovered felony county warrants for her arrest on failure to appear for bail forfeiture, failure to appear on forgery, failure to appear on possession of a controlled dangerous substance and failure to appear on possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a prescription, records show. She was taken to the Oklahoma County jail, where she was being held without bail Friday night.
