Woman charged in fatal crash

A woman was charged Friday in Oklahoma County District Court with two counts of first-degree manslaughter and one count of causing an accident resulting in great bodily injury. Terri Dawn Roberts, 52, is accused of crashing on March 28 into a vehicle stopped in the left turn lane in the 4700 block of S Douglas Boulevard, according to a probable cause affidavit. Two passengers sitting in the car that Roberts vehicle struck were killed, according to the affidavit. Roberts told police that she had taken some medications and had not slept for several days, the affidavit states. The woman had slurred speech and was confused, disoriented and unsteady on her feet following the crash, records show.


2 face charges in child porn case

An Edmond attorney was charged Thursday in Oklahoma County District Court with participation in the preparation of child pornography and aggravated possession of obscene materials. Joseph K. Heselton Jr., 61, was arrested March 22 at the Crowne Plaza hotel, 2845 Northwest Expressway, after he was reportedly discovered with two 17-year-old girls and video recording equipment in a room there, according to the probable cause affidavit. Another man charged in the incident, Bryan David Sanders, 30, reportedly was recorded having sex with one of the girls in the office of Heselton’s Edmond home before the arrest, the affidavit states.
