Bethany man accused in sexual abuse

— A Bethany man is accused of sexually abusing two girls younger than 14, Bethany police said. Randy McGuin, 33, was arrested Monday on two rape by instrumentation complaints. One of the victims told her guardian McGuin touched, kissed and licked her inappropriately, according to the police report. The other girl said McGuin kissed her on her buttocks. Police found McGuin at 4212 N Donald Ave. When they asked him what happened, he hung his head, looked at the ground and said he did bad things, according to the report. He was taken to the Oklahoma County jail, and his bail was set at $100,000.


Convenience store thief arrested

Police say a convenience store thief took cigarettes and a jar of coins intended to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Tyrell Jerome Wilson, 31, of Oklahoma City, was arrested Jan. 31 on complaints of public drunkenness and larceny of merchandise after the items were stolen from 7-Eleven, 2845 NW 10, according to a police report Tuesday. Police say they chased a man down an alley near the 7-Eleven and found Wilson hiding in a garage with the stolen items. He had a strong smell of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet, according to the report. A 7-Eleven clerk identified Wilson as the man who stole the jar of coins containing $104.41 and two cartons of cigarettes, according to the report.
