Teenager, brother shot at home

Two people, including a teenage boy, were shot Sunday night after someone knocked on the door of their home in southwest Oklahoma City, police said. The two victims, whose names were not released, were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Police said a man knocked on the door at 3302 SW 17 about 8:30 p.m. The teenager answered the door, and the man asked for his older brother. The boy went to get his brother, and when they returned, a second person was standing at the door dressed all in black. That person fired into the home, hitting both of them. Police said they are investigating the case and do not have detailed descriptions of the attackers.

Second man dies in club shooting

The Comanche County sheriff says a second man has died after a shooting outside a nightclub near Lawton. Sheriff Kenny Stradley said two men — including a soldier based at Fort Sill — died of gunshot wounds following the shooting about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Platinum Gentlemen's Club. No names have been released. Stradley says the soldier was shot during an argument outside the club and that a club security guard then tackled the gunman and shot the man.

Police official is arrested

The assistant police chief in Hollis has been arrested on a sexual assault complaint. Harmon County District Attorney John Wampler said Jayson Scott Vest is accused of having sex with an inmate of the Harmon County jail. Vest is jailed on $250,000 bail. Court records do not list an attorney for him. Wampler says Vest is expected to be arraigned Tuesday on a charge of raping an inmate. Wampler says the inmate claims she had sex with Vest when he took her from her cell to question her about drug activity.
