Michael Hooper is scheduled to be executed on Aug. 14 for the 1993 killings of 23-year-old Cynthia Lynn Jarman and her two children, 5-year-old Tonya and 3-year-old Timmy. Each of the victims was shot twice in the head and their bodies were buried in a shallow grave in a field.

Hooper was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder by a Canadian County jury that recommended the death penalty. The 39-year-old Hooper has a right to a clemency hearing before the state Pardon and Parole Board, but the agency's website says Hooper has waived the hearing.
