Tribal college sets course list
WEATHERFORD — Several courses that will be offered by the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal College during the 2009 spring semester have been announced. The college, located on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, will have classes starting Jan. 8. Course offerings include Cheyenne and Arapaho language courses and other culture-based courses that can lead to a minor in American Indian Studies or to an Associate of Arts degree. Forum planned on clean water
The Environmental Quality Board and state Department of Environmental Quality encourage residents of northeast Oklahoma to attend a public forum scheduled Nov. 18 at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center, 100 N Water St. The forum will include a short presentation on DEQ’s responsibilities to administer the Safe Drinking Water and Clean Water Acts by Jon Craig, water quality division director.
