OSU students named scholars
A dozen Oklahoma State University students have been chosen for the 2012-13 Niblack Research Scholars program. They each will receive an $8,000 scholarship and have the chance to do research in a university lab. They are: Amber Douglas, of Lawton; Lauren Foley, of Tulsa; Colby Gregg, of Stillwater; Nick Jordan, of Stillwater; Whitney Lisenbee, of Jenks; Patrick Paul, of Tulsa; Forrest Rogers, of Stillwater; Pete Storm, of Stillwater; Micah Webb, of Stillwater; Erin Best, of Katy, Texas; Ryan Greenway, of Amarillo, Texas; and Juliet Ellison, of Penfield, N.Y.
Teacher fellowships available
The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence is accepting applications for Oklahoma fifth-grade teachers interested in attending the 2013 Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute. The fellowship pays for all trip expenses and a $300 stipend for classroom materials. Teachers will learn about history through hands-on activities and re-enactments of historic events.
