Costello had 122,076 votes, or 57 percent, with 97 percent of precincts reporting. Reese, of Oklahoma City, had 91,564 votes. Fields, who is seeking a second four-year term, did not draw a Democratic opponent.

Costello, who founded USA Digital Communications in 1998, said his goal is to create more and better paying private sector jobs, while reforming the worker claims process.

"My private sector experience, starting companies and creating jobs, speaks to what Oklahomans want in public officials today."

Costello, of Edmond, financed most of his campaign. Reports show he loaned his campaign $135,000 during the most recent reporting period, putting the total he has loaned his campaign at $289,847. He reported total contributions of $297,715.

Reese reported raising $15,089 during the most recent reporting period, putting his total at $37,200.
