Oklahoma elections: Republican Charles Thompson to face Dan Boren in Oklahoma Congressional race

Republican Charles Thompson, of Hulbert, captured two-thirds of the vote against Daniel Edmonds in the 2nd Congressional District primary.

— Hulbert veterinarian Charles Thompson cruised to victory Tuesday in the 2nd Congressional District Republican primary.

Thompson, 47, captured two-thirds of the vote against Daniel Edmonds, a 26-year-old Morris farmer and graduate student.

"I honestly didn't expect it to be like this," Thompson said at his campaign watch party in Fort Gibson.
