Oklahoma fans get a boat ride to the game
SEATTLE — University of Washington football fan Rick Bearbower walked into Louie's on OU's Campus Corner two Septembers ago. Every seat was filled.
Sooner fan Richard Wells stood up, offered his chair to the visitor and bought the Husky fan a drink.

There were plenty of Oklahoma fans mixed in with the Washington supporters along the shores of Lake Washington on Saturday.
By ROD MAR, The Seattle Times
"Best beer I ever bought,” Wells said.
That hospitality was repaid in full Saturday, when the Sooners visited the Pacific Northwest.
Bearbower called Wells and offered a spot aboard his friend's boat for the most unique tailgating experience in college football.
Lake Washington, which sits hard on the east end of Husky Stadium, is filled every game day with a fleet of UW fans who boat to the games. And Saturday, Sooner fans were on a bunch of the boats.
"Certainly different from the South Oval or Campus Corner,” said OU fan Jeff Hinkle of Scottsdale, Ariz., who was invited aboard a boat owned by John Buller, a UW fund-raiser.
Said OU fan Rick Andreen of Phoenix, who also was aboard Buller's boat, "It's a different way to go to a stadium.”
Tennessee and Washington are the only major schools at which fans can boat to games.
