Tourism Ambassadors give award
Floraetta Spain, a 22-year volunteer with the Upward Transitions’ Travelers Aid program, received the Gold Star Award from the Greater Oklahoma City Area Tourism Ambassadors during the May 7 Hometown Heroes ceremony at the Waterford Marriott.
Spain has spent more than two decades volunteering at the two information booths at Will Rogers World Airport, which are staffed 365 days a year to assist visitors.

Summer camps enrolling
Oklahoma Contemporary is taking enrollments for summer camps for ages 5 to 13. The camps will be May 27 through Aug. 15. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with child care available before and after.

Photo exhibit reflects storms
“Not Just Another Day in May,” a photo exhibition commemorating the storms that affected central Oklahoma in May 2013, is on exhibit at Leadership Square through May 30. The images reflect the immediate aftermath as well as the recovery efforts.
