Hungryman Challenge needs volunteers

Volunteers are needed for Neighborhood Services Organization’s annual fundraiser, the Hungryman Challenge, on Saturday. No special skills are necessary; just a smile and the ability to cheer on runners.

Tourism Ambassadors give award

Floraetta Spain, a 22-year volunteer with the Upward Transitions’ Travelers Aid program, received the Gold Star Award from the Greater Oklahoma City Area Tourism Ambassadors during the May 7 Hometown Heroes ceremony at the Waterford Marriott.

Spain has spent more than two decades volunteering at the two information booths at Will Rogers World Airport, which are staffed 365 days a year to assist visitors.
