YWCA plans Engaging Men Breakfast
YWCA Oklahoma City is hosting its third annual Engaging Men Breakfast, a networking opportunity among professional men that gives guests a firsthand account of a person whose life has been changed and a cycle of violence broken.
Guest speaker will be Mark Wynn, pictured, a veteran member of the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department and a childhood domestic violence survivor.
“As an underlying systemic cause for many of the challenges we face in our state (including child abuse), we must begin to say, ‘No more’ to domestic violence,” said Jan Peery, YWCA Oklahoma City CEO. “Join us to hear Mark Wynn’s incredible journey from a child victim of domestic violence to a national trainer and advocate.”
For the fundraiser, table hosts will invite seven guests to sit at their table, with each guest donating $100 or more.
Check-in and breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Cox Convention Center. The program is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
To register or serve as a table host or sponsor, contact Sami Grega at firstname.lastname@example.org or 951-3333.
