CENTRAL

Draper: Elevation normal, water clear. All fishing slow.

Hefner: Elevation below normal, water 85 degrees and murky. White bass good on white grubs. Channel catfish good on cut shad. Crappie good on jigs and minnows. Walleye good trolling.

Thunderbird: Elevation normal, water clear. All fishing slow.

Wes Watkins: Elevation 1 to 1.5 ft. below normal, water 72 to 78 degrees and murky. Crappie fair to good on jigs and minnows around structure. Catfish good on shad, shrimp, worms, minnows and assorted stinkbaits. Largemouth bass fair on assorted soft plastics in the early morning on topwaters, spinnerbaits around grassy and weed beds. North gates open daily at sunrise and closes at sunset. South gate open only on weekends sunrise to sunset.

NORTHEAST

Bell Cow: Elevation below normal and clear. Largemouth bass slow. Channel catfish good on doughbaits and stinkbaits. Crappie fair on minnows.

Chandler: Elevation below normal and clear. Bass slow. Catfish slow. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows.

Copan: Elevation normal, water stained. Crappie good on jigs near submerged structure at 6 to 12 ft. Channel catfish fair on rod and reel, juglines with shad, stinkbait and worms. Flathead and channel catfish slow below the dam on fresh cut, live shad and worms.

Eucha: Elevation slightly above normal, water 71 degrees and murky. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows around brush and structure at 12 to 14 ft. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits.

Fort Gibson: Elevation 1.5 ft. above normal and dropping slowly. Water 78 degrees and stained. Fort Gibson lake will host the 2008 Yamaha BASS Club World Championship this week and the fishing couldn’t be better for largemouth bass. The water temperatures have dropped and the fish have moved shallower and are holding around every piece of underwater structure that I run across on the sonar last week. Crankbaits and soft plastics producing some very nice fish. Catfish are still good on jug lines using sunfish, wieners or cut shad but the white bass have slowed down. Crappie can be found in the brush and under docks at around at 10 to 15 ft. on jigs tipped with small minnows.

Greenleaf: Elevation normal, water 74 degrees and clear. Smallmouth bass good on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Channel catfish good on stinkbaits and crankbaits on bottom. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around fishing dock and brush structure.

Hudson: Elevation normal. Crappie fair to good on minnows and jigs around brush.

Hulah: Elevation normal and clear. Crappie good on jigs near submerged structure at 6 to 12 ft. Channel catfish fair on cut shad. Blue, flathead and channel catfish slow below the dam on live or fresh cut shad.

Kaw: Elevation 4 ft. above normal, water muddy. Blue catfish fair on juglines with cut shad at 10 to 20 ft. all over lake.

Lower Illinois: Elevation normal, water 71 degrees and murky. All fishing slow.

Oologah: Elevation 3.25 ft. above normal and falling. Water 70 degrees and murky. Blue catfish good on the north end of the lake around standing timber fishing with livers at 10 ft. Crappie fair around brush piles using minnows and jigs at 10 to 15 ft. Blue and channel catfish fair below the dam on shad. White bass and crappie fair below the dam on jigs.

Sooner: White bass and striped bass hybrids fair on live shad in the flats.

Spavinaw: Elevation slightly above normal, water 74 degrees and murky. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows around the dam area. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits.

Webbers Falls: Elevation 2 ft. above normal, water 74 degrees and murky. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits, spinners and plastic worms in creek channel, along riprap and in weed beds. Channel catfish good on cut bait on bottom. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around brush structure and bridges.

NORTHWEST

Canton: Elevation normal. White bass and striped bass hybrids excellent drifting shad or trolling crankbaits near drop-offs. Channel catfish good on shad and stinkbait in the upper end of the lake. Walleye fair trolling crankbaits and drifting night crawlers near drop offs.

Fort Supply: Elevation normal and clear. Channel catfish fair on live shad and stinkbait.

SOUTHEAST

Arbuckle: Elevation 3 ft. below normal, water 77 degrees and clear. Crappie fair to good on marked brush piles and docks. White bass surfacing mid lake late evening and hitting spoons at 25 to 30 ft. Bass good early and late on topwater, spinnerbaits and shaky jig worms. Channel catfish slow. Sunfish good up in day along bluffs using flyrod and poppers.

Broken Bow: Elevation normal and clear. Largemouth bass and smallmouth bass fair on jigs and deep running crankbaits around structure and rocky points. Channel catfish fair on juglines and trotlines baited with cut bait. Crappie good in the upper end of the lake around structure and standing timber on minnows and jigs. Walleye fair on deep running crankbaits and crawdad colored jigs.

Eufaula: Elevation normal and clear. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits along rocky areas and windy points. Blue catfish fair on fresh shad drifting shallow flats. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 8 to 18 ft. around boat dock and standing timber in deeper flats.

Hugo: Elevation above normal, water 77 degrees. Five flood gates are open. Channel catfish fair trolling with sunfish. Blue catfish good to excellent below the dam on cut shad and worms. Crappie fair on minnows around brush.

Konawa: Elevation normal, water 74 degrees and clear. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits off points and road beds at 5 to 10 ft. Channel catfish good on chicken liver in the discharge canal at 15 ft.

Pine Creek: Elevation slightly above normal and clear. Bass fair on soft plastics around points at 8 to 12 ft. Crappie great on minnows around timber. Catfish good on night crawlers and magic bait.

Texoma: Elevation 1 ft. below normal, water 78 degrees and clear. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair to good on surface lures and plastic combination baits around the creek channels. Striped and white bass fair to good on live bait, surface lures, and sassy shad in the south end of the lake. Channel and blue catfish fair to good on live bait, cut shad and worms north of the Hwy. 70 bridge. Crappie fair to good on minnows and jigs in Little Glasses and Widow Moore creeks. Sunfish good on worms around the fish attractors. All other fishing is slow at this time.

Wister: Elevation normal, water murky. Largemouth bass good on 10 to 12 inch crawfish colored worms. Crappie good on small spinnerbaits and jigs at brush piles. Channel catfish good on juglines with cut shad and liver.

SOUTHWEST

Ellsworth: Elevation below normal, water murky. All fishing slow.

Foss: Elevation 3 in. below normal, water 70 degrees and clear. White bass good in evenings along buoy line. Walleye fair. Catfish fair. Crappie fair.

Fort Cobb: Elevation normal. Catfish slow to fair on cut baits. Crappie slow on jigs and minnows. All fishermen should be aware that a controlled deer hunt will be going on during the weekend of Oct. 11 and 12. The WMA portion of the lake is closed to all other activity for safety reasons.

Lawtonka: Elevation below normal, water murky. All fishing slow.

Tom Steed: Elevation normal, water murky. All fishing slow.

Waurika: Water 74 degrees and murky. Channel catfish fair on juglines baited with punch baits.
