Christmas wine tour set

Derick Jensen plans to host an Oklahoma Wine Culture Christmas Tour on Dec. 8. The trip will include visits to three wineries, a Forward Foods cheese-tasting and a visit to Bedre Fine Chocolate. Cost is $80 per person prepaid in advance.

The tour will stop at Native Spirits Winery in Norman, Canadian River Winery in Slaughterville and Farfalla Wines in Yukon.

Metro hosts art show and wine tasting event

The Metro Wine Bar and Bistro, 6418 N Western Ave., will host its Fifth Annual Refreshing the Palette from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 2. The event includes a wine tasting and art show to benefit the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition.

Attendees will sample 20 wines while getting a peek at art by 20 Oklahoma artists, who've created original works of art based on wine labels. Each artwork will be auctioned during the event.

Participating artists include: Marilyn Artus, Sarah Atlee, Kelly Barber, Brittany Durocher, Kalee Jones, Desmond Mason, Paul Mays, Suzanne Wallace Mears, Elizabeth Mercer, Michelle Himes McCrory, Chad Mount, Lori Oden, Suzanne Owens, Trevar Peterson, Sue Moss Sullivan, Emily Warren, Linda Lou Warren, Tony Westlund, Holly Wilson and Susan York.
