Food truck fest planned
The Skyline Food Truck Festival is scheduled for Saturday at the OKC Downtown Airpark, 1701 S Western Ave. The festival will feature more than 30 local food trucks, concerts and a car show, starting at 9 a.m. Activities starting at 11 a.m. will include a kiddie park, a market of local merchants, silent auction and live local music on multiple stages throughout the day. The event benefits the Red Dirt Relief Fund, which provides a safety net of critical assistance for Oklahoma musicians in times of need. The Gourmet Gallery, inside Northpark Mall and at 1532 S Boulevard in Edmond, will celebrate its 13th anniversary from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Oklahoma Vendors will offer samples and demonstrations at the Northpark location. Vendors will include Holder Brothers Beef, Cedar Hill Farms, Trader Dave’s, Soup Soup, AAA Soda, Ace In the Bowl, AJ’s Salsa, Lovera’s, E III Artisan Cutting Boards, GiGi’s Jelly, Ozarka Water, Maria Rae’s, Sweet Prairie Home, Bedre Chocolate, Prairie Gypsies, Della Terra Pasta, Over the Fence, Lorrie’s Fine Candy, Pepper Creek Farms & Wildhorse Canyon.
Dave Cathey, food editor for The Oklahoman, will be at the mall location to sign copies of his book “A Culinary History of Pittsburg County” from noon to 2 p.m.
