Marshall releases summer seasonal beer
TULSA — Marshall Brewing Co. releases its Arrowhead Pale Ale on Thursday across Arkansas and Oklahoma just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
The 2014 release of Arrowhead Pale Ale marks the fourth year that Marshall has released its summer seasonal. To celebrate the release, Marshall Brewing Co., 618 S Wheeling Ave., will offer brewery tours and samples from noon to 4 p.m. on June 7. Arrowhead will be available on draft as well as a special firkin containing Arrowhead infused with fresh peaches. For more information, go online to marshallbrewing.com.
Event to include grilled cheese contest
The Sheraton Midwest City Hotel at the Reed Conference Center will host a family-friendly Made in Oklahoma Wine, Beer and Food Festival on May 31, including the Great Grilled Cheese Challenge: Masterminds of Melt.
Participants are challenged to create and cook three original grilled cheese sandwiches in just 20 minutes. Participants’ sandwiches will be judged on presentation, taste, originality and style. The categories include Classic, Exceptional Okie, Midwest City Marvel and Salute to Sweetness. Participants may enter one or all of the categories. Prizes will be awarded in all categories, plus People’s Choice and Best in Show awards will be announced.

Festival doors open at 11 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Admission is free. Ten wine or beer tasting tokens with commemorative festival glassware will be available for $18. Standard registration fees will be charged to participate in the car show, Grilled Cheese Challenge, and Wine & Palette.
