Oklahoma football announces another sellout season

Oklahoma now has a streak of 80 straight sellouts at Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. That's a school record that dates back to before the arrival of coach Bob Stoops.

During those years, the season-ticket renewal rate has been at 90 percent or higher every year. Last season, the stadium hosted 85,161 fans every game. That's more than the 82,112 capacity, meaning the stadium is operating at 104 percent of its official capacity.

This year's contests against Notre Dame and Oklahoma State are both sold out. According to OU's athletic department, based on returned tickets from Florida A&M, Baylor, Kansas and Kansas State, less than 200 tickets per game are still available.

OU also set an annual donation record, receiving almost $21 million in annual donations from the Sooner Club. More than 10,600 members donated.
