Oklahoma picked up its fifth commitment for the 2014 class Sunday when Cedar Hill (Texas) cornerback Marcus Green committed to the Sooners.
Green (6-foot-1, 176 pounds) chose the Sooners over Nebraska, Missouri, North Carolina and Texas Tech among others.
The recruitment of the Rivals three-star corner picked up steam in recent weeks as Sooner defensive coordinator Mike Stoops visited Cedar Hill twice in the last two weeks.
Rivals ranks Green as the No. 41 cornerback nationally in the 2014 class.
Green is the second defensive back to commit to the Sooners, joining Lancaster (Texas) safety Vontre McQuinnie.
He's also the third player from Texas to commit to OU.
The Sooners lose starting corner Aaron Colvin after this season and defensive backs Gabe Lynn and Kass Everett are also set to graduate.
The commitment is nonbinding. Green can sign beginning Feb. 5.
Green's commitment was first reported by ESPN.com.
