ALVAREZ EXCITED ABOUT CHANCE TO PLAY EARLY
Oklahoma offensive line commitment Jonathan Alvarez said coaches have told him he will play both guard and center in Norman, and that he could have an opportunity to play early in his career.
“They said it was a great plus that I'm a center, because they said it's easy to teach a center guard, but it's hard to teach a guard to be a center,” Alvarez said.
The Mesquite, Texas, native committed to the Sooners in September.
“I feel like everyone up there was straight forward,” Alvarez said when asked what he liked about OU. “They don't play games up there. They know what they're talking about. They're gonna make you the best athlete you can be.”
