Oklahoma football: Dennit Morris, former OU football great, dies at 78 Published: May 1, 2014

Dennit Morris of Tulsa, a former OU football star who was part of the Sooners' 47-game winning streak, died Monday as reported by the Tulsa World. He was 78.

Morris was an All-American at OU, where he played linebacker and fullback. He went on to play three seasons of professional football following his OU career - in which he helped Bud Wilkinson's teams to a record that still stands.
