Fox Sports Oklahoma will televise a 30-minute special previewing the Cotton Bowl Classic at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, with several replays scheduled leading up to the game between No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 11 Oklahoma on Jan. 4 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Brad Sham, a longtime Cotton Bowl radio announcer and voice of the Dallas Cowboys, will host the program that will feature appearances by Texas A&M freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner, and Big 12 Conference and OU passing leader Landry Jones.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who played in the 1965 game for the University of Arkansas, also will share his thoughts on the annual event.
Gus Johnson and Charles Davis, who will call the game on Fox, will preview the matchup. Fox Sports Southwest's Dana Larson will provide team reports.
SHORT TAKES
*Clay Matvick, Matt Stinchcomb and reporter Kaylee Hartung have been assigned to call the Heart of Dallas Bowl, matching Oklahoma State and Purdue, at 11 a.m. Jan. 1 on ESPNU.
*Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas will make his debut as an NBA TV studio analyst at 6 p.m. Friday. He will make several appearances each month on the network and will also be a regular contributor to NBA.com.
*Jay Mohr, an actor, comedian and radio personality, will join Fox Sports Radio as its new midday host (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) beginning Jan. 2. He replaces Jim Rome, who is leaving to join the new CBS Sports Radio network.
