Last week: The game started out well enough for the Mountaineers, who stopped William & Mary's opening drive in three plays, then went 67 yards in eight plays to take a quick 7-0 lead. But after that, West Virginia was wholly unimpressive against an FCS squad that went 3-9 last season. The Tribe took a 17-7 lead into halftime before WVU rallied in the second half to win 24-17 and avoided an embarrassing upset.

This week: The Mountaineers travel to Oklahoma for a nationally televised contest that kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday. Save for the uniforms and mascot, this West Virginia team doesn't look a thing like the one that embarrassed OU last season to the tune of 778 total yards, the most ever against an OU defense.

Last week: Tulsa missed two first-half field goals and went into halftime down 6-0 at Bowling Green. After three quarters, the Golden Hurricane's offense still couldn't manage anything and Tulsa trailed 13-0. Bowling Green scored early in the fourth after stopping the Golden Hurricane on downs, then added another touchdown after Trey Watts fumbled a punt return inside TU's 10-yard line. Each team scored one more touchdown to end what became a 34-7 drubbing.
