NORMAN — Bob Stoops insisted last week that Oklahoma's 24-19 home loss to Kansas State could've easily gone the other way without a few bad turnovers.

Maybe he's right, but the loss did reinforce the many problems OU has to overcome to be successful the rest of the season, starting with Saturday's game at Texas Tech.

But even beyond that, the Sooners' schedule has but one remaining game that seems unlosable — the Oct. 20 home contest against Kansas.

Here's a look at the each of Oklahoma's remaining 2012 regular-season games.

AT TEXAS TECH, OCT. 6

* Current record: 4-0 (1-0)

* Outlook: The Sooners haven't won in Lubbock since 2003, and the Red Raiders even shocked OU in Norman last year. Texas Tech quarterback Seth Doege, who starred in that 2011 upset, is back. The Red Raiders' defense looks improved, but has it really been tested yet?

* Early pick: OU 30, Texas Tech 21

VS. TEXAS, OCT. 13 (AT DALLAS)

* Current record: 4-0 (1-0)

* Outlook: The Longhorns got all they wanted from Oklahoma State in Stillwater, but David Ash is a much improved quarterback. Although Texas' defense might not be quite what we thought it was, it's still got the potential to be a stout unit that could give Landry Jones trouble.

* Early pick: Texas 27, OU 17

VS. KANSAS, OCT. 20

* Current record: 1-3 (0-1)

* Outlook: Charlie Weis has a long way to go with these Jayhawks. For OU, Weis' program is a confidence builder and a tuneup for the following week, when Weis' former squad comes to town.

* Early pick: OU 49, Kansas 14
