Natrell Curtis, who committed to Oklahoma in the immediate aftermath of the Sugar Bowl, will not wind up in Norman this fall.

Curtis will instead go to Pima Community College after signing with the junior college.

Curtis, a 6-foot-3, 325-pound offensive lineman from Phoenix, will be able to stick close to home. Pima is located in Tucson, Ariz.

He committed to the Sooners in the days after the Sooners’ Sugar Bowl win over Alabama in early January.

Curtis was also a U.S. Army All-American. He picked the Sooners over Arizona, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Washington among others.

The Sooners signed five other offensive linemen in the 2014 class and two other expected guards — Jonathan Alvarez and Alex Dalton.

Of OU’s 2014 signees, only offensive linemen Orlando Brown and Kenyon Frison and defensive back Vontre McQuinnie have not enrolled at OU.
