The OU junior was booked at the Cleveland County Sheriff's office at 2:34 a.m. on possession of marijuana.

Saunders and OU defensive back Cortez Johnson, both 20, were arrested during a traffic stop at Lindsey and Oakhurst in Norman about 2 a.m., sheriff's spokeswoman Megan McCormick said. The vehicle belonged to Saunders, but Johnson was driving, she said.

Saunders, a transfer from Fresno State in his first year at Oklahoma, was one of the stars of the Sooners' 24-17 win at TCU on Saturday. Saunders was the Sooners' leading receiver with seven receptions for 108 yards and one touchdown. He has 53 catches for 766 yards and three touchdowns in eight games.

Johnson is sitting out this season after transferring from Arizona, where he was coached by current OU defensive coordinator Mike Stoops.

An OU athletic department spokesman declined to comment on the arrests.

WASHINGTON: NO DOUBT ABOUT FUMBLE

In the third quarter of Oklahoma's win at TCU Saturday, senior defensive end R.J. Washington forced quarterback Trevone Boykin to lose control of the ball.
