Here is a look at how our coverage team for Oklahoma vs. Texas picked Saturday's game:

RYAN ABER, OU beat writer

* OU 45, Texas 10: The Longhorns can't stop the quarterback run game and the Sooners have two who can do damage with their feet — and there's a good chance that Trevor Knight makes an appearance in this one if nothing else when the game gets out of hand.

JENNI CARLSON, Columnist

* OU 45, Texas 13: The Longhorns have provided little evidence that they'll be able to score much or stop the Sooners from scoring a bunch. Their opener against lowly New Mexico State notwithstanding, Texas has scored no more than 31 points and allowed 40-plus on two occasions -- and the Longhorns weren't exactly playing heavyweights. OU is better than it was a year ago, and Texas is worse. Last year ended in a rout. No reason to think this year will be any different.

JASON KERSEY, OU beat writer

* OU 63, Texas 17: Why am I picking a third-straight Red River rout? Because absolutely nothing in the past two years — or the first few weeks of this season — has given me any reason to believe the 2013 game will be any different.

BERRY TRAMEL, Columnist

* OU 62, Texas 10: Texas is an emotional and psychological mess. That's bad enough. But the Longhorns also are without their starting quarterback and they can't tackle. By what possible scenario will it not be a blowout?
