Thomas threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns without being intercepted.

Heritage led 28-0 after one quarter with Thomas throwing touchdown passes of 45 and 37 yards.

Thomas and the Panthers have clinched a Class 5A Division II playoff berth and will finish the regular season Friday at Hurst Bell.

THREE MONTHS SINCE COMMITMENT

After hosting a long list of visitors last week in a loss to Notre Dame, the Sooners have yet to pick up a commitment.

Oklahoma has gone more than three months without any players committing, since Hatari Byrd pledged to the Sooners on July 31.

The Sooners are one of only two Big 12 teams not to have a player commit in October.

TCU's last commitment came Aug. 5.

The Sooners had a similar spell last season, though, going from July 24 (Charles Tapper) to Nov. 28 (Chaz Nelson) without anyone committing.

After Nelson, though, Oklahoma added 12 more recruits.
