THIRD-DOWN PASSING: A

Landry Jones completed six of seven third-down passes, all six for first-down yardage or touchdowns. Might have been Landry Jones' greatest conversion game in four years. Jones threw 20-yard TD passes to Sterling Shepard and Justin Brown on 3rd-and-9 plays.

BELLDOZER: C

Big Blake converted just two of five tries. He ran for a first down on 3rd-and-1 from the OU 25-yard line in the first quarter, saving an errant snap with a one-handed grab. Bell also converted a 4th-and-1 from the OU 46, after getting stuffed on 3rd-and-1. But in the first quarter, Iowa State stoned Bell on 3rd-and-2 from the Cyclone 5-yard line and 4th-and-1 from the 4. After the opening drive, OU never ran a play inside the Iowa State 18.

BLOCKING: A

Against a solid defensive front and excellent linebackers, the OU wall had its best game of the season. Landry Jones was not sacked and only twice was hurried. Even better, the Sooner running game was solid. OU's running backs combined for 174 yards on 31 carries, 5.6 yards per carry.
