Oklahoma football: Sooner safety Tony Jefferson prefers the Sugar Bowl

OU-TCU QUOTEBOARD — What they're saying following Oklahoma's 24-17 win at TCU

Oklahoma safety Tony Jefferson on his bowl preference:

“I'd rather go to New Orleans. I want to play an SEC team or something like that; that's the way I feel.”

Defensive end David King on if he'll cheer for Texas on Saturday night against Kansas State:

“I said if it came down to it I'd root for Texas, but I haven't quite found the urge to cheer them on.”

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops on winning late in the quarter again:

“I think it speaks to their character, the players' character, the fight in them, the resolve to keep moving forward. Even when we've had a turnover or some adversity, just keep playing football. Keep fighting through it and find a way to win.”

TCU coach Gary Patterson on Oklahoma:

“They have a good football team, they were playing for a BCS spot. We had them at home, and we didn't do a lot, especially on third down. We got some big plays, but we allowed them short fields. Defensively, I thought they played well.”

TCU running back Matthew Tucker on TCU receiver and former Oklahoma commit Brandon Carter, who scored on an 80-yard reception in the third quarter:

“He was pumped up in pregame. He came up to me right before the game and said, ‘Yo, Tuck. Man, let's go. Let's go.' He had a good game.”

Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones on being Big 12 Champions:

“Whew. Yeah. We like to make them interesting around this place. It's been so good. I look back over my career and I'm just so thankful. It's not often you get to win a Big 12 Championship.”
