Oklahoma football: Sooners' Justin Brown able to celebrate this punt return

“He's been so close,” Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said about Brown's punt returns this season. “I felt great for him. He's been playing so well in all areas, so it was fun and exciting for all of us to watch him take it all the way.”

Brown admitted he was disappointed in the first-quarter dropped punt.

“I should have fair caught it,” Brown said. “I was trying to do a little bit too much.”

Brown called his decision “unacceptable,” saying that as a senior he has the experience to make better decisions.

The next decision he made gave him a shot at redemption.

“My punt return team just said, ‘Keep your head up, we'll get the next one,'” Brown said.

And that's exactly what he did.
