NORMAN — OU coach Bob Stoops confirmed Monday in a news release that receiver Kenny Stills and safety Tony Jefferson will forgo their senior seasons and enter the 2013 NFL Draft.
“We appreciate the contributions that Tony and Kenny have made during their time at Oklahoma,” Stoops said. “We wish them both the best as they pursue their opportunities in the NFL.”
ESPN ranks Jefferson (5-feet-11, 212 pounds) as the fifth-best safety in the 2013 drafft class, and the 82nd-best overall prospect. Stills (6-1, 190) is ranked as the 14th-best receiver and 73rd overall.
The Associated Press named Jefferson a second-team All-American this season; he led Oklahoma in tackles with 119 and intercepted two passes. He played most of the year with a high-ankle sprain suffered early in the season.
