King's status for next week's regular-season finale at TCU remains unclear.
His versatility has been key on a unit beset by injuries and inexperience.
King began the season as primarily a defensive end. He moved inside to tackle when senior Casey Walker missed the first two games because of an undisclosed personal issue and senior Stacy McGee was suspended indefinitely during the preseason.
McGee was reinstated before the Oct. 27 Notre Dame contest.
King, a team captain, has played both defensive end and defensive tackle this season for the Sooners, recording 24 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season.
Before the Oklahoma State game, King was honored as the 2012 Don Key Award recipient during Senior Day festivities.
LANDRY'S RECORDS
Landry Jones had another record-setting game. His 46 completions and 71 passes were OU records. His 500 passing yards were the third-most in OU history; Jones set that record, 554, last week against West Virginia.
