Oklahoma football: Stanvon Taylor, Dominique Alexander remain committed to OU
Despite verbal commitments to Sooners, other schools have tried to change their minds.

Stanvon Taylor and Dominique Alexander have been two cornerstones of Oklahoma's recruiting class for 2013.
Taylor, a cornerback from Tulsa East Central, has been committed to the Sooners since early May.

Alexander, a linebacker/defensive back from Tulsa Washington, was originally committed to Arkansas before flipping to Oklahoma in early November.
Over the past few weeks, though, both have withstood an onslaught of recruiting pressure from other schools.
Now, just hours before Wednesday's signing day, it appears everything is settled and both will stick with their commitments to OU.
Several programs made a late push for Taylor, including Auburn and Tulsa.
Golden Hurricane coaches were in attendance at an East Central basketball game last week.
Cardinals football coach Bobby Klinck was impressed with the way Taylor dealt with the situation.
“He handled it as a mature adult,” Klinck said. “Some other teams made runs at him and he stayed committed. That speaks highly of his character.”
Klinck wasn't surprised that somebody tried, though.
When Klinck was a running back at Jenks, he committed to Oklahoma early in the process, but that didn't stop other teams from making their pitch just before signing day.
“At the very end, Notre Dame wanted me to take a visit,” Klinck said. “I thought about it and talked about it with my dad but in the end, I made a decision that I'd been committed to them for so long and I wasn't going to go back on that.”
While Taylor didn't take any other visits, Alexander's courting by other programs was a bit more public.
He took visits to Arkansas and Kansas State in January, causing some Sooners fans to question whether he would remain committed to OU. In recent years, the Sooners haven't been thrilled with their commits visiting elsewhere.
Alexander was up front with the Sooners about the visits, though.
