“Whether you won them or lost them, you treat each as their own,” Stoops said. “It's its own opportunity and we're anxious about this one.”

Bell completed 27 of 37 passes for 413 yards and four touchdowns two weeks ago against Tulsa, setting a school record for passing yards in a first start.

Asked about Bell's confidence coming out of the game, Stoops said he just wants his quarterback to remain balanced.

“We've always told our guys even here, whether it's big games at home or no matter where they are, let everybody else be excited and jumping around, you just stay over here and stay cool and be ready to execute,” Stoops said. “It's all about being calm, being cool, ready to be precise in how you're playing in your reads and where you're going with the ball, and communication at the line and run the offense.”

Senior cornerback Aaron Colvin on the Notre Dame game: “It's a once in a lifetime experience. At the same time, it's my senior year and as a leader, every game is a big game for us. This is my last go around. I'm not treating any week any differently; I'm always preparing like this is my last game.”
