Before Michael Hunnicutt was Oklahoma's starting kicker, he was a wide receiver on his high school football team. He thinks that's what has made him so competitive and given him the drive to be where he is today. He's made 66 of 70 PATs and 24 of 28 field goals for the Sooners. Here's what Hunnicutt's world is like on game day.

If it's a game day, I just wake up and get ready right away and focus up. If it's a night game you can't just do it right when you wake up. You kind of go through a normal day and go through your routine but you have to start getting focused up about four hours before.
I'm superstitious so I eat Chipotle every Thursday night. That's really my only superstition.
Chicken burrito. Chicken, black beans, rice and cheese.
Some people are more superstitious than me. Some people wear the same socks.
I just try to remain really calm. Some people focus up differently. I'm pretty calm, pretty chill.
I know a lot of friends that kick for other schools so I like to see how they're doing. From different camps and everything, we all know each other.
Since I'm a kicker and I only play six to ten plays a game, it's a little different from the other players. I try to stay focused the whole game but I have to go to the net and warm up every once in a while but it's a lot different because I'm focusing for one play as opposed to 20 plays at a time.
You have to go through a little mental routine. You gotta make every kick.
(Tress Way) kind of lets me do my own thing. I kind of don't like talking that much to other people when I'm out there.
In a kick, there's a snap and a hold that's important too. The kicker always gets the glory and the blame and I think some of the glory should go to the snapper and holder.
