Oklahoma football: What they're saying about the Sooners' 34-19 victory over Kansas

“We watched them on film and we knew there were a couple spots we could hit them and it kind of worked out.”

Oklahoma senior center Gabe Ikard, on the reverse pass from Lacoltan Bester to Sterling Shepard:

“Lacoltan really rose to the occasion and threw one of the prettiest balls I've ever seen another human being throw. … I was really proud of how Lacoltan executed that play. You know it's your moment and he dropped a dime on Shep.”

Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike Stoops, on run defense:

“We were out of position most of the first quarter to say the least. We're not fitting and positioning the run game the way it needs to be positioned. When you don't position it right, they're gonna get yards. It's what's not good with us right now.”

Oklahoma junior defensive end Geneo Grissom, who was committed to Kansas before signing with the Sooners out of high school:

“Kansas is a great school, but I felt Oklahoma was the best decision for me.”
