MANHATTAN, Kan. — Oklahoma improved to 9-2 on the season and 5-2 in Big 12 Conference play with Saturday's 41-31 win at Kansas State.
Here's a look at what players and coaches had to say following the Sooners' victory:
Kansas State coach Bill Snyder, on Bob Stoops passing Barry Switzer as OU's all-time winningest coach. Stoops spent seven years on Snyder's KSU staff in the early 1990s.
“Bobby is a tremendously talented football coach. I think everyone is aware of that, as well as Barry Switzer was. Two really wonderful coaches. … I am sure it certainly means something for Bobby. It was not a good win because it came here, and I told him that before the ball game. I wished him well, with the exception of today.”
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops, on the Sooners run defense:
“Our plan was to control the line of scrimmage and be great against the run game. Our plan wasn't to give up big passes, but that kinda kept them going. I feel to beat these guys you have to be great against the run game, and we were.”
