Oklahoma gets commitment from 2015 defensive tackle Tyrell Jacobs

Defensive tackle Tyrell Jacobs of Metairie (La.) Rummel High committed to Oklahoma on Monday.

Jacobs posted his commitment on Twitter.

Jacobs (6-foot-4, 260 pounds) had offers that includes Arizona State, Kansas State, Louisville, Mississippi State and Tennessee.

He’s a two-star recruit according to Rivals.com.

Jacobs is the Sooners’ eight commitment from the 2015 class and the second defensive tackle, joining Jenks’ Marquise Overton.

The Sooners signed a pair of players from Louisiana last year, including defensive tackle Courtney Garnett.

Jacobs’ commitment is non-binding. He can sign beginning Feb. 4.
