House races in 58 districts were decided Tuesday, with Republicans winning 42 and Democrats 16. The other 43 seats already had been decided, with Democrats holding 24 and Republicans the other 19.

House Republicans have held a 57-to-44 edge in the House since 2004, when they gained control of the House for the first time in more than 80 years.

Rep. Scott BigHorse, D-Pawhuska, was the only incumbent to lose Tuesday. He was defeated by Republican Eddie Fields of Wynona.

Republicans had a net gain of four, as they also picked up four seats held by Democrats who could not seek re-election because of term limits but lost one seat held by a term-limited GOP member.
