Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin accepts 'Ice Bucket Challenge'

An aide dumped a bucket of ice water on Gov. Mary Fallin on Tuesday outside the state Capitol as part of a charity challenge to raise money to fight Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Seated in a wooden chair and wearing jeans, a golf shirt and tennis shoes, she jumped up and yelled after her assistant upended the bucket.

The challenge has been sweeping the country. Participants make a video of themselves doing the stunt, post it on social media sites and then challenge friends to do the same within 24 hours or donate $100 to the battle against the disease.

Most people - including Fallin - do both, take a soaking and donate money.

Fallin challenged University of Oklahoma President David Boren and coach Bob Stoops as well as Oklahoma State University president Burns Hargis and coach Mike Gundy to participate.
