Gov. Mary Fallin’s campaign bus was burglarized this week, and thieves got away with a stereo and a TV, along with 21 tires from the recreational vehicle dealership where the bus was parked.

Oklahoma City police are investigating the burglary, which took place at Leisure Time RV, 4901 S Anderson Road, late Wednesday or early Thursday.

Leisure Time co-owner Ron Walker said the burglars cut a hole in the dealership’s fence, backed in a pickup and hauled away 21 assorted tires from pop-up campers.

“It doesn’t make much sense, because those tires are odd sizes,” Walker said.

The burglars also broke into Fallin’s bus, which was there for maintenance, and took the stereo and a 50-inch TV and attempted to take an additional TV.

Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said investigators were working to get surveillance video from the business.

Alex Weintz, Fallin’s communications director, said the RV should be up and running by Saturday for the governor’s next campaign stops.
