OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin is getting ready for a new roommate at the governor's mansion.

Fallin said Tuesday she and her husband, Wade Christensen, are expecting the white Labrador retriever puppy to arrive in about two weeks.

The couple already has a young Labrador mix named Burney, a rescue dog found abandoned near a grassfire in northeast Oklahoma City two years ago. Fallin's longtime dog Rascal died last year.

She said they haven't come up with a name yet for the new puppy.

The Republican governor joked Tuesday that she's told her husband he's responsible for housebreaking the new puppy and making sure he doesn't chew any of the furniture inside the governor's mansion.
