Oklahoma grade school student taken into custody after threatening teacher

Colcord Police Chief Lenden Woodruff said Colcord Schools remained on lockdown for almost an hour after a grade school student threatened to shoot a teacher.

— A Delaware County grade school student was taken into custody on Thursday after threatening to shoot a teacher, authorities said.

Colcord Police Chief Lenden Woodruff said Colcord Schools remained on lockdown for almost an hour.

A search of the school found no weapons or guns, Woodruff said. The student has not been identified.

Colcord is about 78 miles east of Tulsa in Delaware County. There are about 350 students in the elementary school, records show.
