A training session for people interested in learning more about the new federal Health Insurance Marketplace in Oklahoma City is getting off to a sluggish start.

Tuesday's event at the Metro Technology Center in northeast Oklahoma City is being sponsored by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Oklahoma, which has several plans for sale on the marketplace that launched across the United States on Tuesday.

The insurance company had insurance agents and people trained on the new federal marketplace ready to answer any questions citizens might have about how to apply for insurance or what's available to them through the marketplace. No one from the public had visited the all-day event two hours after it began on Tuesday.

The federal site experienced several glitches after its launch Tuesday morning.
